1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how LA BROSSE YOURSELF LLC ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your information when you visit www.labrosseyourself.com (the "Site") or make a purchase. It is incorporated into our Terms of Use by reference. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
We currently sell and ship only within the United States. This policy is written for United States customers, with additional rights described for California residents in Section 6.
2. Information We Collect
Information you give us directly. Your name, email address, shipping and billing address, telephone number where provided, and order details when you make a purchase, sign up for our emails, or contact us through the Site.
Information collected automatically. Device type, browser, operating system, pages viewed, referring site, approximate location derived from IP address, and how you move through and interact with the Site. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies as described in Section 4.
Payment information. We do not collect or store complete payment card numbers. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers, and we receive only confirmation of the transaction and limited details such as the last four digits of the card.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To process, fulfill, and deliver your orders.
- To communicate with you about orders, returns, and support requests.
- To send marketing emails and text messages where you have signed up, which you can opt out of at any time.
- To measure how the Site is used and to improve it.
- To measure and improve our advertising, including showing you our advertising on other platforms.
- To detect and prevent fraud, and to comply with legal obligations.
4. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, understand how the Site is used, and measure our advertising. Some of these are set by us, and some are set by the third parties named below, who may use them to recognize your device across other websites and services.
Shopify. Our e-commerce platform. Sets cookies necessary to operate the Site, including cart and session handling, and provides us with store analytics.
Klaviyo. Our email and SMS marketing provider. Sets cookies to recognize subscribers and to record on-site activity so that our emails are relevant.
Google Analytics. Provides us with aggregated reporting on how visitors find and use the Site.
Meta. We use the Meta pixel to measure the performance of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram and to show our advertising to relevant audiences. This involves sharing information about your activity on the Site with Meta.
Forms. We use Shopify Forms and Powerful Form Builder to operate our sign-up and contact forms and to receive what you submit through them.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling some cookies may affect how the Site functions. California residents have additional choices, described in Section 6.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share personal information with the advertising and analytics providers named in Section 4 so that we can measure and target our own advertising. Under California law, that activity is treated as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and you have the right to opt out of it as described in Section 6.
Aside from that, we share personal information only with service providers who help us operate the business, and only as needed for them to perform their services. These include our e-commerce platform, payment processors, shipping carriers, our email and SMS provider, and our form providers. We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our Terms of Use, or to protect our rights, our customers, or the public.
6. Your California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you the rights described below.
Categories we collect. In the past twelve months we have collected identifiers such as name, email address, postal address, telephone number and IP address; commercial information such as products purchased and order history; internet activity such as browsing and interaction with the Site and our emails; and approximate location derived from IP address.
Categories we share. We share identifiers and internet activity information with advertising and analytics providers for cross-context behavioral advertising, as described in Sections 4 and 5. We do not knowingly share the personal information of anyone under sixteen.
Your rights.
- The right to know what personal information we collect, use, and share.
- The right to request deletion of your personal information.
- The right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- The right to opt out of the sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- The right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
How to exercise them. Use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the footer of the Site to opt out of sharing for advertising. For any other request, email us at info@labrosseyourself.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. You may use an authorized agent, and we will ask for proof of that authorization.
Global Privacy Control. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal sent by your browser as a valid request to opt out of sharing for advertising.
7. Data Retention and Security
We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described here and to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
8. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children. As stated in our Terms of Use, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes and Contact
